2009 Wall of Acclaim Ceremony

The Bubbler Foundation held its Annual Dinner on Friday evening, May 15th at the Boiling Springs H.S. cafeteria with approximately 200 people in attendance.   All in attendance enjoyed a Roast Beef and Turkey Buffet style dinner.

Following dinner, the program began with the introduction of Nick Mazarella who did the drawing for the South Middleton School District 2008 Holiday Card. This drawing depicts a winter scene along Children's Lake. Nick wanted to use his talents to provide support for the Bubbler Foundation. He had prints made as a fund raiser for the Bubbler Foundation, the sale of which has raised over $1,200 for the Foundation to-date.

The Award winning Boiling Springs H.S. Concert Choir conducted by Mr. Keith Roden entertained the audience with several music selections.

This was followed by the presentation of the Wall of Acclaim recipients.  This is a program to honor those persons who have excelled in their service to the School District, Township, or as an alumnus in the area which they reside and work.

This year’s recipients were:

  • Mr. Jeffrey Noble who retired last year after 40 years of service to the South Middleton School District as Band Director and Music Department Chairperson.  Jeff had numerous award winning bands and inspired dozens of students to lifelong careers in music.  Jeff was nominated for this Award by Mrs. Ann Failor.
  • Mr. Al Shields for his dedication to the many school and community functions as Fire Policeman and his volunteer service to the many events and organizations in the Township. Al was nominated for this Award by Mrs. Sherry Kuffa.
  • Mr. Creedin Cornman was selected by the Bubbler Foundation Board to receive the Historical Award.  This Award is to recognize person or persons who have made an outstanding contribution to the events and landmarks of the past that has played a major role in the development of South Middleton Township and/or the School System as we see it today.  Creedie dedicated many years to helping youth prepare to be future leaders in the dairy industry, and has made many contributions toward advancing the Agricultural and Dairy Industries in this area, in our State and surrounding States.  He has also served his community as an active member of the S. Middleton Fire Company where he served in many capacities over the years.

All recipients of the Wall of Acclaim must be sponsored by someone who feels they are worthy of this award, and meet the required criteria set forth by the Bubbler Foundation ‘Wall of Acclaim’ Selection Committee.   The mission of the Bubbler Foundation is designed to “enhance and supplement the academics, arts and cultural, athletic, environment, and health and wellness experiences for the children and residents in South Middleton”, which are not covered by tax monies.

The print will be available at local businesses and from The Bubbler Foundation.

Earlier this spring, the Bubbler Foundation received a note from Nicholas offering the print to the Foundation. Nicholas wrote:

"Last December, this painting was selected by the South Middleton School District to be featured on the District's annual holiday card. Based on the positive comments I received on the card's design, I decided to offer the print for sale to the public and donate all proceeds to the Bubbler Foundation. This non-profit organization benefits and enhances the educational, cultural, athletic, environmental, and wellness experiences for the children and residents of South Middleton Township.

By purchasing this print, you are helping to improve the educational opportunities and quality of life for all citizens of our township and school district."

The Bubbler Foundation would like to thank Nicholas for his generous support of the Foundation. Please consider a purchase of this beautiful print that reflects the spirit of the Boiling Springs community.
